If for example we include Cathay & nippon, the norther push might be to far since we already go hard to the east.
In the end it depends on how the game#3 campaign map will look. Especially since the Turntime problem seems to be dealt with. If the desire is to push the Mortal Empire borders south for the existing content, and we all know we will expand east anyway, there is no harm in also pushing a bit north. Even Naggaroths northern border can pushed a bit for more Hung involvement, which also would make the landbridge to the Old World a better place. And since the third game should have a special focus on Chaos, even if the core races might not be involved there, who can predict what CA will do here? Kurgan/Hung/Tong are still possible DLC candidates later on. Even above the Dark Lands is plenty of Kurgan territory that could be fleshed out by CA just to fit the general map border regarding Norsca. I think there is enough space north to be taken into account before drawing a border to "unknown regions" and there should be plenty of stuff there as for example shown with the WoC 8th armybook map picturing the land over Norsca. Not too much room left in the north, it's chaos wastes. The question is then how will those borders look and how far east/north will they go? But that question is around since before game#1 release so only the game#3 announcement might shine some light on it. If they change that, it will be for game#3 when they draw new and better borders. all they need to do is connect the oceans with a 1 pixel wide strip at the bottom of the map. Of course I'd like to see the entirety of the Southlands/Lustria but based on what they've added of the Darklands so far its not clear that the current map will go east enough to include the Mountains of Mourn.Īs for Malus. I'd be happy if they just pushed it a little more south so you could sail out of the Gulf of Medes (Sudenburg) and move Tiktaq'to south to the opposite shore. Who's with me?
